Be Careful What You Wish For: the development of the Texas Digital Archive

In January, 2015, the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) received approximately 7 TB of electronic records from outgoing Governor Rick Perry (2000-2015).  Over the last decade TSLAC has also had a robust digital imaging program generating over 150,000 digital files, including 18 TB of digital audio files. In this session, Electronic Records Specialist Mark Myers, will talk about the planning and development of the functional requirements for the Texas Digital Archive, the acquisition of the Preservica preservation system, and how TSLAC has customized Preserivca’s Universal Access public interface to provide access to the electronic records in the Texas Digital Archive.
